Dr Karen Maher runs Mindfulness classes on Thursday evenings, 7pm- 8.15pm focusing on a different theme each week. Places are limited to eight per class - to book a place please contact Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org. Each class costs £10.

Karen is a fully qualified Mindfulness Instructor, having completed her training with Mindfulness CIC in Leicestershire. Karen is also a Psychology Lecturer at Coventry University, and is a member of the teaching faculty on the University’s MSc Mindfulness and Compassion programme.
Karen's extensive background within Occupational Health Psychology, and particularly the impact of “well-being at work” on individual and organisational performance make her the perfect addition to the team here. Her PhD project focused on stress, engagement and work-life conflict within the Fire and Rescue Service. Other professional interests involve the promotion of positive psychology in the workplace through the use of psychological resilience training and mindfulness based interventions. Karen has also had the opportunity to lead student field trips to Japan - considered to be the home of Mindfulness.
Spare minutes away from work and family are spent swimming or running, and occasionally indulging in a gin and tonic!
