The aim of our Physiotherapy treatment is to reduce pain, restore strength and movement, and promote function. Following a detailed assessment of your condition an appropriate regime of treatment will be recommended. This may only need to be advice regarding specific exercises and posture management. However, your physiotherapy treatment may also include “hands-on” therapies such as joint manipulation, soft tissue massage techniques, electrotherapy modalities (for example ultrasound and muscle stimulus), and acupuncture which can be very effective in relieving pain.
A few of the many conditions that can be benefited by receiving physiotherapy:
- Back and neck pain including disc prolapse, sciatica and whiplash
- Shoulder injuries and disorders
- Muscle, ligament and tendon injuries
- Arthritis and Rheumatism
- Joint replacement and other Orthopaedic Surgeries
- Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)
- Headaches
- Chronic pain
- Work related injuries and posture disorders
- Sports injuries, for example Tennis/Golfers elbow
